Learn to hit with wood and you will crush with metal!
By WBP Mentor & Wood Bat Hitting Coach,
Founder of Wood Bat Mechanics for the Aspiring Professional,
Kash Beachamp

I get asked over and over what is the best bat to use while training.  The Metal Bat? The Composite Bat?  The Wood Bat?  Well the answer is very simple.  In my career experience as a professional player and hitting coach that has endured 27 years, I have seen many hitters that can hit with metal bats but struggle when they pick up the wood bat.

With the metal bats today, which are engineering marvels, the bat does a lot of the work for the hitter.  The player that seems to struggle the most in making the adjustment from the metal bat to the wood bat is the player that is physically strong.  With the metal bat all you have to do is square up the baseball with some strength and bat speed and you are going to get a strong result.  Many players completely ignore the other mechanics that it takes to drive a ball with a wood bat.

The two most ignored mechanics with hitters using metal or aluminum bats is the failure to get to a strong, loaded hitting position and the ignorance of using your lower half to generate maximum power.

When asked the question, "Why train with the wood bat?" the answer is very simple and I always answer it this way....... I have seen a ton of kids that can rake with metal bat but really struggle with the wood bat.  In all my years of playing and coaching, I have never seen a player that can hit with solid wood bat mechanics that can't crush with metal or aluminum.

If a player wants to play at the highest level of baseball, wood bats are what the player is going to have learn how to hit with, because wood is what is used at the highest level.  Learn how to hit with wood and watch the damage you can do with metal.  You will add power, distance, and consistency!

Would you like to learn to hit with wood and Professional Wood Bat Hitting Coach Kash Beauchamp?

Wood Bat Mechanics for the Aspiring Professional is a unique opportunity for the player to learn how to maximize his hitting ability by learning proper, professional wood bat mechanics.  With the NCAA and several high school associations considering switching to composite or wood bats it can really give a hitter a distinct advantage because a majority of young hitter that have used aluminum have developed "aluminum bat swings".  Hitting with wood or composite is a completely different beast.

Players have the option of a three day all inclusive event where the physical approach to hitting with wood is covered or a five day all inclusive event where the physical and mental approach to hitting will be attacked.  All meals and housing is provided for this unique hitting experience.
